A coach can be one of the most influential people in a players life. Every players experience on the court, whether positive or negative, is memorable and may profoundly impact their lives. SBMC Basketball strives to ensure that the coach: athlete relationship and learning environment is always a positive experience so that each players unique development can be maximized. A coach is an ambassador of his/her club and should understand his/her actions are also a reflection of the club he/she represents.
As a Coach I will:

4. Not challenge judgement calls by the referee. It is acceptable to inquire about the interpretation of a rule, but only in a courteous, non-confrontational manner. Shouting or gesticulating reactions to a referees calls are unacceptable.
5. Always be in control of his/her players. Any player who is not in a designated area deemed acceptable by the coach and officials, must be sitting on the bench.
6. Exemplify honesty, integrity and fair play no matter what the impact might have on the outcome of the game. All players shall receive equal instructions, support and playing time.
